About Us

The origin of Once More Band started in the mid-1980s when several of the founding members met at the University of Tennessee.  Each member had a background in choir and gospel music which led to their unique approach to their now country music harmonies.  The group, known as the Blazer Brothers, began singing locally at festivals and entertainment venues, such as Dollywood (previously Silver Dollar City).  They developed an extensive following as fans loved their traditional country sound and tight harmonic arrangements.  After their first year of performing, the group accepted an opportunity with a manager and moved to the Nashville area.  Over the next ten years, the group headlined their own shows and performed with many other country artists, including Randy Travis, Ricky Skaggs, The Judds, Lee Greenwood, Barbara Mandrell, Exile, and many others.  In the mid to late 1990s, the group decided to forgo their music career and pursue other interests.

A New Start

In 2021, founding member and vocalist Allen Berry began a journey to reunite the group.  With his brother on board, founding member and vocalist James Berry, he began to reach out to several of the former band members.  These included bass player Doug Johnson, guitarist Dennis Lakin, drummer Marty Mills, and keyboardist Richard ‘Toby’ Price.  The group was soon joined by vocalist Mike Harless, guitarist Michael Collins and fiddle player Brendan Booher.  With a new start, the group chose the name Once More Band

They began performing as Once More Band in 2022 and continue to build momentum.  The group performs traditional country music, as well as classic rock, and gospel.  With a continued focus on rich vocal harmonies, the group also features their electrifying instrumentalists, which are an integral part of their performances.

Their new album Crossroads, released in 2025, has been enthusiastically received by both current and new fans alike.  Along with several cover songs, the album features two original songs, with the title song "Crossroads" written by James Berry.  The album can be heard on all major streaming platforms.
